Dear Members of IBBIA,

At our conference in Storm Lake, on March 3, 2008, I was given the honor of becoming the President of the Iowa Bed & Breakfast Innkeepers Association (IBBIA).  I have big shoes to fill.  Mary Nichols has been an incredible president for the past seven years.  She has left IBBIA in good financial shape and moving forward.

I have many ideas for our association. This year I plan to work with the Executive Board to get all four of our regions working to showcase the inns in their areas and to provide a forum for innkeepers to get together and share ideas and stories.  (The N W Region was established last year and has had great success.)   The Board has set a goal of twenty-five B&B member reviews (previously referred to as inspections) in '08 starting with all our new member inns.  An expanded IBBIA newsletter is being planned.  Hopefully the first issue will come to you this spring.

I look forward to working with you in the future.  This is a wonderful association and together we will make it even better.
