2007 Directory ~ Full color Directory can be found in all Iowa Welcome Centers, at our member inns as well as in local attractions and tourism centers across the state.

Office Services ~ Our Board approved the proposed bid* for our office services from the Iowa Lakes Resource Conservation & Development Program (Iowa Lakes RC&D), Spencer, Iowa. RC&D is non-profit under Chapter 504a of the Iowa Code and is recognized as a 501 (c) (3) organization by the IRS. The RC&D receives staff assistance through theUSDA National Resources Conservation Service.

They will provide: answering calls on the IBBIA's 800 number and emails from their website, send out correspondence by email or postal mail, collect monies for gift certificates, IBBIA packets, cookbooks and directories, keep a ledger of all transactions and develop a mailing list, report to IBBIA's Financial Officer, bank monies, update the member database. They will also provide: telephone & answering machine, computer and software, and office space for needed supplies. (IBBIA will supply postage, materials for mailings, and phone service.)

Written Procedures ~ The offering of volunteer assistance from our members resulted in rewriting reporting procedures for more efficiency of time and effort, therefore saving money. The Inquiring Innkeeper and Aspiring
Membership Packets are being reorganized and new needed information added. In addition, our Quality Inspection
Program is being revised.
