Once you are settled at Back Inn Time Bed and Breakfast, we encourage you to have a look around town.  Greenfield’s rich history, innovative young business leaders and extraordinarily friendly people make it an easy place to visit.

The seasoned folk of Greenfield maintain numerous points of interest in town.  Having served the area for over 114 years, the EE Warren Opera House is now remodeled and restored into a state-of-the-art facility called The Warren Cultural Center and boasts retail, dining, entertainment and a cultural arts venues.

Just a few short miles east of Greenfield sits an early 20th century home and farm of a well-known Iowan, Henry A. Walllace.  In addition to founding the seed corn company Pioneer Hi-Bred in 1926, Wallace served numerous positions within the US Government, including U.S. Secretary of Agriculture from 1933 to 1941. A guided tour of this Country Life Center includes the restored house, gathering barn, sculpture walking path, orchard and produce gardens as well as themed flower gardens. A must-see!

Antique car enthusiasts will love Greenfield’s very own Schildberg Antique Auto Museum which includes a 1902 Oldsmobile, 1954 Corvette and a 1948 Harley.

The Iowa Aviation Museum is the only place in Iowa which focuses on the state's aviation heritage.  Pilots can call ahead and scheduled complimentary transportation to and from Back Inn Time!

Greenfield’s innovative young business leaders keep the town’s pace alive with thriving ventures.  The Freedom Rock tourist attraction is just minutes north of Greenfield on Highway 25.

Trinity Salon and Day Spa is one of Greenfield’s newest and most relaxing places to rest your head, or nails or back or feet.  Ask your innkeeper for appointment details.

Colors Floral Home Decorating is your one-stop shop for home interior decor, fancy floral needs, carpet and rug choices and Pittsburg Paints.  A perfect place to buy gifts!
