Indianola is a city in Warren County, in the Des Moines metro area.  It is the county seat. The community is in the Central Standard time zone.

  • Lake Ahquabi State Park

  • Indianola Country Club is a private 18 hole golf club established in 1920. The course expanded from 9 to 18 holes when the new west nine was opened for play in the spring of 2004. The course is kept in excellent condition by Superintendent Joe Burke. Members enjoy the relaxed casual atmosphere in the clubhouse. Indianola attractions: Buxton Park Arboretum

  • Buxton Park Botanical Gardens and Arboretum. The first park in the Indianola system was donated in 1906 by William and Francis Buxton. Originally at the north edge of Indianola, the park was a favorite picnic site. Now it is a quiet spot for strolling through formal botanical gardens, an arboretum, and a gazebo. You'll enjoy 4.5 acres of nature's beauty.
