“Keeping
Market Share During a Down Economy”
is a key focus
of this year's conference that will be dedicated to active and
aspiring members. The conference will not be open to the public this
year. The travel industry has been hit hard by the economic
slowdown, but there are ways to generate good news and keep those
heads in the beds. Part of it is putting on the happy face, after
all, that's the business we're in. Join us and learn how to keep
your market share or branch-out to attract guests from a new market
niche.
Internet Marketing Skills
A MUST!
Today’s innkeeper must incorporate technology into their
business – the industry today is an Internet-driven market. The
success or failure of your B&B depends on how effectively you use
the Internet as a marketing tool. From search engine marketing, to creating Internet blog posts -- the
art of innkeeping is dependent on your ability to successfully
embrace Internet technology.
Wine tas ting
will be conducted by the Engelbrecht Family Winery on
Sunday following a terrific educational section titled
Selecting the
Glasses & Wine for Your Next B&B Wine Tasting Event. This
section will be taught by Julie Wurr from Heart’n Home in Laurens,
Iowa.
